Equipment slots just became the most generous system change of the month. Two official update notes published on 28 October 2026 — "Outfit saves and equipment slots" and "Unlock equipment slots in the shop" — opened the full slot ladder for every account. Players who were already registered received all ten power slots and all four main weapon slot extensions permanently and for free. Accounts created from now on unlock the same slots from the Gold shop at fixed, permanent prices. This guide explains what the slots do, what changed this week, and how a new account should spend on them.
Everything below describes the system as it works today. If a later update changes prices or rules, the newest official notes on the update journal are the source of truth.
What power slots do
Wolf power items — the Medical Kit, the Steam Pack, Wolf Special Ability, Wolf View, the Pro Pack 20C, the Dragon tattoos, the Phoenix GL set and the Original Scratch — do not sit in your weapon pages. They equip into the power slot row of your first equipment preset, and every opened slot holds exactly one of them. The starter and wolf power items guide walks through all seventeen permanent starter items and what each card promises.
The first power slot is part of every account. The ten Power Slot products open the rest, one slot per purchase, up to the maximum of ten that the shop cards themselves state. Two rules shape how you plan around them.
First, slots work in order from the first one. An item equipped beyond your opened run does not enter the match with you — the classic client still carries the plain message "You should buy Power Slot %d first." for exactly this case. Second, the unlocks are permanent. There is no rental, no renewal date and nothing to stack: a slot opened once stays on the account.
What the main weapon extensions do
Your loadout presets carry numbered weapon rows — the game calls them WP1, WP2 and WP3 — next to the standard row. The four Main Weapon Ex. products each add one extra weapon slot, and their shop cards are unusually specific about the fine print. Main Weapon Ex. Standard adds a slot that, per its card, accepts only the basic weapon. Main Weapon Ex. Slot 1, Slot 2 and Slot 3 each add a slot to the WP1, WP2 and WP3 rows, and those cards promise every weapon except Gold-buy weapons — wording inherited from the classic service, quoted here exactly as the card states it.
Like the power slots, these unlocks are permanent, take effect immediately and appear as permanent cards in your inventory list once opened.
Existing accounts: opened, free and permanent
The note "Outfit saves and equipment slots" puts the grant in one line: all players receive permanent, free access to 10 power slots and all 4 main weapon slot extensions, and existing items and balances are preserved. There is nothing to redeem and no code to enter — the next time you log in, the slots are simply open on your account.
The same note fixed a related annoyance: complete outfit sets, including the Pedro Christmas Look, now save their separate pieces correctly instead of being rejected as duplicate equipment, and a rejected character change restores your saved selection while keeping you connected.
New accounts: the Gold prices
The companion note "Unlock equipment slots in the shop" lists the prices, and the live shop matches them today. Power Slot 1 through Power Slot 10 cost 1,000 Gold each. The four Main Weapon Ex. products cost 2,500 Gold each. Every purchase is a one-time permanent unlock, and buying a slot you already own is rejected without charging you again.
Plain arithmetic: all ten power slots cost 10,000 Gold in total, and the four weapon extensions cost another 10,000. That is a long-term goal, not a day-one requirement — new accounts start with 5,000 Gold, the welcome gift box carries a 10,000 Gold claim alongside the C-95 SL rental, and eligible completed matches keep paying under the earned economy. The free Gold and WC guide explains those income streams. Nothing in this ladder sits behind real money; it is earned currency all the way down.
A correction to our earlier guide
The starter and wolf power items guide, published on 27 October, states that the Power Slot products are not on sale at all and that there is no gate to pay. That was accurate when it was written. The two notes the following day replaced that situation with the system described here. The earlier guide stays online unchanged, as published history; this post carries the current facts.
Putting the open slots to work
Fill your first preset before you queue. With all ten slots open you can field the full starter wolf shelf at once, and the cards themselves recommend one aggressive pairing: the Steam Pack with the Medical Kit, because the pack's burst of strength immediately costs half of your current HP.
The weapon extensions reward tidy loadouts rather than more clutter. Use the added room in each numbered weapon row to keep an alternate pick beside your main choice — a close-range answer next to a scoped rifle, for example — and try the combination in an AI Deathmatch room before you spend a competitive match on it. Bot rooms pay no rewards, but they are the cheapest place to feel how a new power-item lineup actually plays. The weapon classes guide helps you choose what deserves each row, and the best weapon guide shows what price really buys.
