Dust2 has joined WolfTeam Legacy. WOLFORY DUST2 went live on 28 October 2026 as the newest arena in the Wolfory family, and it is selectable right away in three modes: Deathmatch, Wolf Deathmatch and Bot Deathmatch. The classic desert battlefield ships with its own bot routes, team starting areas, selection artwork, loading screen and mini-map, and the map name is available in both language settings.
This guide walks through what the adaptation changes, where you can play the map and how to run your first bot session on it. Everything below describes the arena as it shipped in its release note; if a future update changes routes or spawns, the official update journal at https://wolfory.com/updates is the source of truth.
The classic layout, adapted for Wolfory
If you have ever queued into a desert map in a classic shooter, the geography will feel familiar within seconds. WOLFORY DUST2 carries the well-known A and B areas, the middle doors, the long and short A routes, and the upper and lower tunnels. The release note names each of these landmarks, and they map onto the layout players remember: two site-style ends, a contested middle, and the connecting roads between them.
The adaptation stays close to the original rather than reinventing it. The layout, the desert textures and the skyline are all adapted for Wolfory, and two practical changes stand out for gameplay: stairs are smoothed into ramps, and raised tunnel entrances are smoothed as well, so movement that used to be a stumble over geometry now flows. On a map this well known, small comfort changes like these matter more than new scenery.
Presentation is complete too: the arena has its own selection artwork in the map list, its own loading screen and its own mini-map, and you will see the WOLFORY DUST2 name in both the English and Turkish language settings.
Where you can play Dust2
Three modes list the map today, and each one uses the desert differently.
Standard Deathmatch is the core duel: pick your loadout, fight the other team and outscore them before the clock runs out. Eligible Deathmatch rounds follow the standard reward rules, so this is also the fastest way to turn Dust2 practice into Gold, GP and daily-goal progress.
Wolf Deathmatch is the wolf-versus-wolf flavor of the deathmatch family, the mode our Wolf War guide covers in depth: wolves stand on both sides of the scoreboard. Long sightlines you would normally hold with a rifle become closing distances, so the same desert reads very differently when everyone is a wolf.
Bot Deathmatch is the training room. Bots run the map's own routes and both teams get their own starting areas, so you can learn the layout without pressure and without pay: training awards no Gold, GP, Wolf Coin or goal progress.
To open a room, create one as usual, choose the mode, then pick WOLFORY DUST2 from the map list, where it shows its own preview image. If you are new to hosting, the room settings and rules guide explains titles, passwords, rank limits and the three match limits.
Your first bot session on Dust2
The routine from the bot training guide works unchanged on the new arena. Open a Bot Deathmatch room on Dust2, click AI ADD on an empty opposing slot, keep the difficulty at EASY while you learn the layout and press START. Bots walk the map's own routes, so you will meet them where real opponents will later stand.
Structure your first laps around the landmarks the release note names. Walk through the middle doors once and note what they connect. Run long A end to end, then short A, and compare what each route shows you. Take the upper tunnels and drop to the lower tunnels to feel how the two levels meet. A few laps of naming routes out loud beats hours of random wandering.
Keep the standard fair-play habits for when you switch to human matches: start with teams differing by at most one player, stay until the match ends and remember the short protection window after respawning. The /matchstatus command tells you whether your current room is training or eligible PvP at any time.
Route habits for the desert
A few habits follow directly from the geometry. Treat them as starting points, not commandments.
Long A rewards patience. It is the longest road on the map, so crossing it is a commitment, and the player who reads it first usually decides how it goes.
The middle doors sit between the routes. Whichever flank you prefer, the middle connects them, so a team that watches the doors can react to either end while the other team commits.
The tunnels are the quiet road. Upper and lower tunnels reach the B area away from the open desert, which makes them the natural approach when you would rather stay off the long sightlines.
Where Dust2 fits in the roster
WOLFORY DUST2 joins Wolfory Foundry, Wolfory Mansion and WOLFORY ASSAULT as Wolfory-family arenas that support bot practice, and it adds a full adapted classic to a map list that already spans original arenas and classic WolfTeam maps. Nothing was replaced: this arrival extends the list. If you are comparing arenas, the Assault map guide and the Wolf War guide cover the other recent additions, and the bot maps guide explains the training routine shared by every bot-capable arena.
