Every WolfTeam Legacy account is one login for everything: the community launcher, the game client and this website. Protecting that single password protects your Gold, your earned items and your rank history. Until the end of October, changing it meant asking the team for help — since the 31 October update, the website has a self-service password form, and this guide walks you through it step by step.
Where the password form lives
Sign in on wolfory.com with the account you play with, then open your account page — the Player hub (/account). Scroll down to the section titled "Password and security". You will find three fields and one button:
- Current password — the password you are using right now.
- New password — the password you want from now on, with a Show/Hide toggle next to it so you can double-check what you typed.
- Confirm password — the new password one more time.
Press "Change password" and the site does the rest. On wolfteamlegacy.com.tr the same form uses the Turkish labels Mevcut şifre, Yeni şifre and Şifreyi doğrula.
The password rules
The site accepts passwords between 6 and 64 characters. One detail worth knowing: the hard ceiling is 64 UTF-8 bytes, and characters outside plain English — ç, ğ, ş and their friends — take two bytes each. A very long password full of Turkish characters can hit the byte limit before the character limit; if the form refuses a password that looks short enough, shorten it or mix in plain letters. Under the field, the site suggests choosing a password unique to this account. A password reused from another service puts every account it touches at risk; a password you use nowhere else is the cheapest protection your WolfTeam inventory can get.

One password for the launcher, the game and the site
The form changes your account password — the same credential the community launcher and the game client ask for. Wolfory runs a single account per player across the launcher, the website and the game, so there is no separate "website password" to keep track of. The next time you sign in to the launcher or into the game, type the new password; everything you earned — Gold, items, rank progress — stays exactly where it was.
What happens the moment you confirm
Three things, in order. First, your current password is checked against the live account again; if it does not match, the form answers "Your current password is not correct." and changes nothing. That check is deliberate: someone sitting at an unattended, signed-in browser cannot take the account over without knowing the current password. Second, the new password is stored with the same salted bcrypt scheme described in our account security guide (/blog/wolfteam-account-security-guide) — the site never stores readable passwords. Third, you are signed out everywhere. Website sessions are bound to the password itself, so changing the password invalidates every browser session at once — including the one you are using — and the launcher session too. The page shows "Password changed. Signing you out…" and returns you to the login screen after a moment. Sign back in with the new password and continue where you left off.
Limits that protect your account
The form is rate limited. If you mistype your current password repeatedly, or fire many change requests in a short window, the site answers "Too many attempts. Please wait a moment and try again." and asks you to cool down before the next try. The same philosophy guards signing in itself: as the update note puts it, too many wrong password attempts are limited to protect accounts. Waiting a minute and trying again is all it takes.
If you forgot your password instead
The form on the account page only works while you are signed in, because it asks for your current password. If you cannot sign in at all, that is a different path: use the "Need help signing in?" link under the login form, which leads to the support section of the game guide (/guide#support). The team can help you recover access; the self-service form, by design, cannot reset a password you cannot prove.
Where this feature came from
The password form and the site's RSS feed shipped in the same update on 31 October — the note "RSS feed and password changes" in the update journal (/updates) covers both. The feed side already has its own walkthrough (/blog/wolfteam-update-journal-rss-guide); this article covers the password side. And if an older bookmark of yours says that changing a WolfTeam password required contacting the team — that changed on 31 October. The form above is the current, self-service way.
